The Saints Simon and Jude School student council members and class room representatives are elected by their peers and are responsible for representing their classroom in bi-weekly meetings where they bring ideas from their classmates to the study body; counting tabs that are contributed to the Ronald McDonald House; and assisting in the facilitation of Student Council fundraisers and events. They must also meet the following criteria: maintain an 85 general average; maintain a 3 in conduct, effort, and specials; and maintain an attitude and appearance that sets a good example for the student body.
Student council leadership are 8th grade students in the positions of co-presidents, treasurer, commissioner of religious activities, commissioner of school spirit, and secretary. These students ran for the positions in the previous school year. All students are permitted to run for election based on the following criteria:
Co-Presidents: Must maintain a 90 general average; maintain a 3 in conduct and effort and specials; has been in the school at least two years; maintains an attitude and appearance that sets a good example for the student body.
Treasurer: Maintain an 85 general average with a 90 in math; maintain a 3 in conduct and effort and specials; maintains an attitude and appearance that sets a good example for the student body.
Commissioner of Religious Activities: Maintain an 85 general average; maintain a 3 in conduct and effort and specials; an active member of the Church; a regular altar server; maintain an attitude and appearance that sets a good example for the student body.
Commissioner of School Spirit: Maintain an 85 general average; maintain a 3 in conduct and effort and specials; maintain an attitude and appearance that sets a good example for the student body.
Secretary: Maintain an 85 general average with a 90 in ILA; maintain a 3 in conduct and effort and specials; maintain an attitude and appearance that sets a good example for the student body.
