Religion
In Religion, students use the Sadlier “We Believe” series to learn about the Commandments, Beatitudes and their role in developing a personal relationship with God.
Mathematics
Math instruction in 4th grade centers on the basics of multiplication, division, fractions and geometry. Students receive Common Core instruction on these topics. Honors math begins in 4th grade, so students who meet those qualifications are invited to join this program.
Social Studies
It’s all about Pennsylvania from pre colonization until the twentieth century.
Science
Students receive instruction in a STEM environment of discovery and problem solving. They go to lab at least once a week where they work through the engineering process.
ELA
English Language Arts is comprised of a block of reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and spelling. We focus on writing across the curriculum, so students often are practicing their writing skills in every subject. The students read selections from our new Reading Street series and practice grammar skills in its own series. Vocabulary in Context, our vocabulary series, begins in 4th grade with instruction in that series concluding in 8th grade. Students are given the opportunity to practice and integrate these new words across the curriculum as well.
