Mrs. Alison Musumeci is a Parent Alumni with two children who attended all nine years at Saints Simon and Jude School. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Plymouth State University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. She is also pursuing a special certification for Social Emotional Learning Leadership through St. Elizabeth University and Rutgers University.
Mrs. Musumeci comes to Saints Simon and Jude with a dual experience as an Early Childhood Educator and a Clinical Social Worker specializing in children, adolescents, and families. She has over 15 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, and over 16 years of experience in Early Childhood Education as a Teacher and a Social Emotional Learning Specialist. She has worked in a vast array of therapeutic and educational settings as a Social Worker, and taught at a Goddard School for 12 years where she earned her PA Teaching Certification for Nursery through Kindergarten. Prior to taking a teaching position at Saints Simon and Jude, she was a Social Emotional Learning Specialist for four years in the Pottstown School District covering 15 PreK Counts classrooms. In addition to her professional career, she was Volunteer Catechist for the Preschool PREP Program at Saints Simon and Jude for 14 years.
Mrs. Musumeci believes in developing a caring, nurturing, faith based environment that cultivates a love of learning, and meets the needs of the individual child.
