Pastorrectorysimonandjude.orgFather Michael Gerlach was born on April 17, 1955 as the sixth of nine children to George and Bernice (Atkins) Gerlach. Father started the first grade at his parish school and graduated from the same in 1969. From St. Athanasius it was on to Cardinal Dougherty High School graduating in 1973. With great interest in the building trades, Father attended Spring Garden College for Construction Engineering. Midway through the first year Father “heard the call.”
One might say the rest is history and how he came to be with us at SS. Simon and Jude. Father was ordained in 1982 by His Eminence John Cardinal Krol. Father sees himself as blessed by the Lord with the privilege to serve as a parish Priest. He looks forward to joining us on our journey of faith, always acknowledging that we are fellow servants and children of the Lord.
