The SS. Simon and Jude School Marketing Committee is comprised of parent volunteers and the school principal. The mission of the committee is to get the good word out about SS. Simon and Jude School with the intent to draw more students.
SSJ Marketing History For the past six years, SS. Simon and Jude has taken steps to proactively market the school. During the past two years, the Marketing Committee has really stepped up efforts due to the state of our economy. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia is also asking schools to “spread the good word” and recognizes marketing as an important part in it’s new strategic plan.
What is Being Done at SSJ? The Marketing Committee has focused on creating a consistent school “identity”... the logo, maroon/gold colors, tagline, and look for the website. We create materials to attract new students - postcards, flyers, signs, etc. We “spread the good news” about SSJ through the media. We help coordinate and implement “Visit SSJ Days” and Open Houses. Our main goals are to attract new students to the school and celebrate successes with our current students/families.
How Can You Help? The current Marketing Committee has 9 parent volunteers - Jennifer Appaneal, Amy DePaoli, Regina Donohue, Theresa Hagman, Margie Kropiewnicki, Patty Melcher, Sharra Mercer, Jennifer Reinecker, and Maureen Steinetz. If you want to be a part of the committee or just help out with specific projects, you are welcome to join us. We can always use help with photography... either specific event coverage or just send us your photos! If you are interested, email Jennifer Appaneal at jappaneal@verizon.net.
